A limited edition 1/9th scale
large equestrian statuette depicting the Drum Horse of the Blues & Royals.
This is our most intricate sculpture to-date and accurately captures the
majestic pageantry of the Trooping of the Colour (the Sovereign's Birthday
Parade).
Resplendent in the Gold Order "state dress" livery, of the Blues & Royals,
no detail has been knowingly overlooked. Careful inspection will reveal the motto
'Honi soit qui mal-y-pense' which translates 'evil be to him who evil
thinks' inscribed within the Royal Coat of Arms on the drum banners. Or
count the buckles on the harnessing, it's all there! This piece is an
enhancement to any collection, and will withstand the scrutiny of the most
ardent connoisseur.
To complement this piece we shall soon be releasing companion statuettes
which are Drum Horses of the Life Guards in state dress and the Royal Scots
Dragoon Guards in ceremonial uniform.
This is a Limited Edition of only 5,000 sets world-wide - 2,000 assembled and painted to museum standard; 2,000 self-assembly kits; 500 produced in cold cure bronze and 500 in sterling silver plate. As with all of our limited editions once the issue numbers are fully subscribed all moulds and master patterns are destroyed thereby ensuring the exclusivity of the sculptures.
Each sculpture is issued with its own unique number, a parchment scroll certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor containing biographical details, and an illustrated history of the regiment.
